Are you an animal lover? If so, this event is for you! Animal lovers and joggers will gather together on September 25th for the 18th annual Cheyenne Animal Shelter's Dog Jog.
This is a fun run/walk so even if you're not a jogger, you can still come support the local shelter! You can choose between a one-mile walk or a 3-mile run along the trail surrounding Sloans Lake.
This fundraiser helps the local shelter care for over 5,400 animals each year. All you have to do to help is collect pledges from family, friends, and co-workers to help the animals and you will be eligible for great prizes in return.
Last year the event hosted over 350 people and over 300 dogs from Cheyenne and the surrounding area. The animal shelter raised more than $38,000 to help with adoption, medical care, surgical sterilizations, and sheltering. The goal this year is $50,000 so come be part of the cause and show your support for the great things our shelter does for animals.
Bring your canine companion or feline friend and help make a difference in the lives of orphaned animals.
Event registration begins at 8am. The run beings at 9am, followed by the walk beginning at 9:30am. The awards ceremony will immediately follow at 10am.
