Whether it’s your first time out on the green or you’re an expert, Cheyenne is a great place to go golfing.
Cheyenne offers two local golf courses for you to choose from:
Airport Golf Course is considered to be Cheyenne’s best and is home to Wyoming’s only professional golf tournament, the Wyoming Open. Thirty-five minutes north of Fort Collins, this course is a traditional tree-lined parkland gold course that is fun and affordable. Rates include:
· 18-hole fee $22
· 18-hole fee after 5pm $15
· 9-hole Monday-Friday $15
· Youth Fee (under 18) $12
Kingham Prairie View Golf Course is laid back, fun atmosphere for both the learning player and the veteran who still enjoys a quick nine on a fun course. Rates include:
· Daily Fess $11
· Youth (under 18) $7
Cheyenne also has future plans to build a golf course on the newly purchased 20,000 acres of land of Belvoir Ranch. This land lends itself naturally for the game of golf. Link-style golf, with an emphasis on the ground game, creative shot making and strategy, this course will provide an element of fun and variety.
Play during the week at the Airport and all play at Kingham Prairie View are handled on a first-come first-serve basis. Tee times are available on weekend and holidays and can be made beginning Friday mornings at 6:00am. For more information, visit Cheyenne’s Golf Division.
Summer has only just begun, so get out and enjoy the beautiful greens Cheyenne has to offer and I’ll see you at the 19th hole!
